Are You Healers?

Today we went into town on a “sharing Jesus day”. We met our first guy at the town centre. He said he felt drawn to come over and see us. We knew him. He’s a Christian and a recovering drug addict, who’s struggling. We shared the story of the Prodigal Son with him and told him that’s God heart for him.

I felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to pray for him. I laid hands on him and prayed over him. I asked him how he felt. He said “I’ve just got a high!”. We encouraged him to go along to a local church.

After leaving him we walked down the road and a lady ran after us saying: “are you healers?” She said she’d seen us pray for the guy and had also recently noticed the “HEALING” banner used by our local Healing On The Streets team. We said: “no – we’re not healers, but Jesus is.” We sat her down on a bench and she explained she suffered from pains in both legs and the medics hadn’t been able to get her fixed as yet. We shared about Jesus and how he healed everyone who came to Him. My friend also shared his testimony of getting his knee healed. legs and knees

We pointed out that only Jesus heals, but that he’s delegated His power and authority to us. We both prayed, then I laid hands on both knees and commanded the joints, ligaments, tendons to be healed in Jesus’ name. I asked her how they felt now, and to rate the pain on a scale of 1 – 10. She said: “the pain’s gone!” I asked her to test her knees fully, she did and said: “still no pain”. I gave her a gospel tract and she went off very happy.
