Man Healed By Jesus in 3 Separate Parts of His Body

July 11, 2014

Sometimes it seems like you’re not being used by God, but this morning I was greatly encouraged while watching a Youtube video by a US Pastor quoting something Pete Cabrera Jr had said about seeing results when praying for the sick. This is the link to the video I watched:

After watching the video teaching I went out to work in my local Food Bank. During the session one guy came in with his partner.  During our chat he mentioned he had problems with both shoulders and a knee. He had worked for over 20 years as a Plasterer and he said the damage had been done as he plastered with both arms and climbed up and down ladders, week in week out.   man plastering a wall

I casually mentioned that healing was one of the services we offered while clients were waiting for their food parcel. Was he interested? He asked how it worked and I explained how simple it all was. He was up for it, so I spoke to each shoulder in turn and also the knee in the name of Jesus. As per the video teaching, I just kept to a brief command, finishing with a “be healed in Jesus’ name” in each case. I then kept my hands on the affected part while chatting to the guy about his family life, etc and left God to do the hard work. After a couple of minutes chat each time I asked how the affected part was doing  now. Each time he gave the shoulder/knee a good work out and told his partner what a difference there was, and how he now had movement that wasn’t there before. At one point he said: “there’s even no crunching when I do this!”

Shortly afterwards his food parcel arrived and he left a happy man.

Training for Christian Healing and Discipleship

October 2, 2013

amazing    God is doing something amazing today. For far too long, Christians have been sitting in the church waiting to find “their ministry”, or for the Spirit to give them a revelation of their special task.  I’ve been guilty myself, even handing out “spiritual gifts questionnaires” for folk to fill in to find their “ministry”. The good news is that God is revealing the truth that we all have the same ministry. That ministry is the only one that Jesus ever commissioned his followers to carry out, namely: “preach the gospel of the Kingdom and repentance from sin, heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead”. If your ministry aspirations are other than that, they’re not the ones that Jesus commanded you to obey in His word. Perhaps you’re basing your plans on the “traditions of the elders”. If you don’t agree, then take it up with Jesus. Some words of Jesus from John’s gospel:  bible verse john14:24

John 14:15: “If you love me, you will obey what I command.”

John 14:21: “Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me.”

John 14:23: “Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.””

John 14:24: “He who does not love me will not obey my teaching.”

Some Churchgoers have been more active, running from speaker to speaker seeking “that new anointing” that will enable them to do great things for God. The fact is that we aready have all the anointing we need from Christ, aka “the Anointed One”.  If you want to do the works of Jesus you need His anointing aka the Holy Spirit; there isn’t any other in reality. Also, to do the works of Jesus you need to walk out of the church building, be obedient and do what Jesus had already commanded his disciples to do. As you go out in obedience and faithfulness, he will equip you.

Jesus rightly condemned the Pharisees for their slavish adherence to “Tradition”. We have been just as guilty, following our own traditions that – ultimately – have evidenced little true discipleship, and even less fruit.

So if you want to get started in Christian healing you need to start by doing it.

Below are some really great links to get you started.

Dr Roger Sapp explains clearly how Jesus is the model for us to follow in ministering healing:

Please Send Me Healing Training Course CDs!

February 28, 2013

Had an e-mail request via one of my websites for the 4 CDs containing the Elijah Challenge healing training course. The great thing about this course is that it explains that ANY born-again Christian can heal others. At the end of the training you also see other believers stepping forward to do the practical and lay hands on others, on the course they’ve just done.

For 20+years as a Christian I believed that to heal others you needed a “healing gift”. Since none had dropped out of  the sky into my lap, I realised that I didn’t have such a gift. Only through doing the Elijah Challenge training course online did I realise that ALL true disciples of Jesus could heal. This page sets out a brief summary of the rationale for this: http://www.newchristian.org.uk/elijahchallenge.html   elijah challenge image

Since the course is non-copyright, I used the free program CDBurnerXP to create the data discs and told the recipient that he could freely copy the training course to give out to others, as that’s what he said he planned to do. The Elijah Challenge website is here: http://www.theelijahchallenge.org/  As their website says, “The time of the superstar “one-man-show” evangelist is fading and the time of the nameless disciple is at hand”.

It’s great to be able to encourage others who are trying to emulate Jesus and the disciples, and wanting others to do the same!
